Description

Medication delivered at home

At SoaStudentArts you have the option to order medication for chlamydia immediately after a positive result on your STD test, so that you are STD-free again as soon as possible. This option will be visible on the page where you can see your result, provided your test proves to have a positive result. If you indicate there that you want to order medication immediately, the pharmacy will contact you to discuss a number of things and ensure that you receive the correct medication. You will then receive this medication at home in the letterbox within 2 working days, in an unrecognizable packaging on which you cannot see that it concerns medication for an STI. Discreet and fast shipping, as you are used to from us.

Therapy

In consultation with the pharmacy and the general practitioner, we have decided in most cases to prescribe the following medication for a positive chlamydia test:

Women: doxycycline 100 mg 2 times a day 1 tablet for 7 days.

Men: azithromycin 500 mg 1 x 2 pieces once.

In some cases, for example if there is also a gonorrhea infection or certain allergies, additional or other medication will be required. Although this is uncommon, in exceptional cases the pharmacy and the general practitioner will ensure that you receive the correct treatment and (after) care.

It is important to mention that we previously treated women with chlamydia infection with azithromycin. That turns out not to be enough for women, because a vaginal chlamydia often goes together with an anal chlamydia (even without having had anal sex). That is why, in consultation with the doctor and pharmacy, we have chosen to treat women with doxycycline, so that we can combat under-treatment and help you with your STD as well as possible.
